Andrea

Andrea is from Waverly, NY. She chose to go into the veterinary field because she grew up on a dairy farm and always had a passion for all creatures big and small. Andrea has worked as an enrichment specialist and a kennel tech in shelters, a butterfly keeper at Zoo NY, and, of course, growing up on the farm. Her mom's entire family are farmers as well!

Andrea chose to join the Briar Patch team because she could feel the personal, warm, and welcoming vibe just from reading the job posting. She also was impressed by our practice's high rating on Google. After reading the wonderful things people shared in their reviews, she immediately had a good feeling about our hospital.

Andrea has a 10-month-old lab named Miller, an 8-year-old cat named Marty, and an almost 20-year-old tortoise named Tiffany. Her hobbies include anything related to being crafty, baking, and the outdoors. Her favorite part of working with animals is being able to advocate for them and help them feel their best.
