What is Parvo?
Canine parvovirus is a highly contagious virus caused by the canine parvovirus type 2 (CPV-2) virus that is spread through contaminated feces. It attacks the gastrointestinal tract and immune system of puppies and dogs. If not diagnosed early, it can be life-threatening.
How It Spreads
- It can be spread amongst dogs, coyotes, wolves, skunks, and foxes.
- Dogs can get it by sniffing, licking, eating feces, or playing with contaminated objects.
